INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was stabbed to death late Saturday on the west side of Indianapolis.
According to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Arthur Avenue before 11:15 p.m. When they arrived, police found a woman suffering from stab wounds.
The woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, but police said she died from her injuries hours later. She was identified as Amanda Rickard, 30, Marion County Chief Deputy Coroner Alfie McGinty said in an email.
Police have not released information about what led to the stabbing.
