ZIONSVILLE — Zionsville Police have arrested three juveniles and one adult, following an early-morning pursuit and crash that damaged a police car.

The incident started when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle that was exiting the Hunters Point Apartment Complex near Ford Road and Oak Street, just west of downtown Zionsville.

Zionsville Police Chief Robert Knox says the vehicle was traveling with a second vehicle and both drivers fled the scene and led police on a pursuit into the Thornhill neighborhood.

Knox says one vehicle was stolen in Marion County and the other in Zionsville.

A short time later, one of the vehicles crashed into a tree and two suspects fled on foot, according to police.

The other vehicle then stopped and the driver jumped out and fled.

While searching the area, officers saw someone come out of the woods and get into a white Buick SUV.

While trying to stop that vehicle, the driver crashed into a Whitestown Police Department cruiser before being pulled over on Oak Street near Lexington Drive.

A man and a woman from that vehicle were taken into custody and two additional suspects were rounded up and arrested later in the morning.

During their search, police set up a perimeter around the Thornhill neighborhood.

Drones and police dogs were involved in the search, along with additional police departments.
