MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State University Police Department officers are investigating an armed robbery Sunday night just blocks away from campus.
An emergency alert was issued around 11:35 p.m. asking people to avoid the area around the 100 block of North McKinley Avenue.
Ball State Police are investigating a armed robbery in the area of 106 N McKinley. Black, male, hooded sweatshirt and white shorts. Please avoid the area.

Police said they are looking for a male subject wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white shorts with a stripe on the side and dark shoes.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call University Police at 765-285-1111 or 911.
