MUNCIE — A freshman at Ball State won $10,000 after making a half-court shot during Saturday's basketball game against the Akron Zips.
Noah Waechter made the half-court shot during a promotion called The Vault, Tyson Mathews, assistant director of communications for Ball State Athletics said.
Waechter won the contest, "pending a customary insurance review common to all such promotions," Mathews said.
