MUNCIE, Ind. -- Police asking for help to identify a group of brazen thieves caught on camera stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Victoria's Secret in the Muncie Mall.
The incident started when three women and a man entered the store on February 7 and started acting strangely. The manager told police that when her employee thought she saw them stealing she went to call security and was followed by the three women. The women then started cursing at the employee and calling her a racist while knocking items off of shelves and causing a scene.
The group left after mall security arrived.
A few hours later, the same four were caught on video walking into the store grabbing items off the front display table and stuffing them into their bags and walking out.
The group can be seen on the surveillance video returning to the store to steal the remaining items from the display before running off.
Police say a manager from a nearby store followed the group out of the building and saw them get into a gray 1990's Chrysler van with four other people.
The manager told police that the suspects stole 109 pieces of clothing worth more than $5,600.
Police are looking for eight people who drove away in a 1990's Chrysler van.
