Frankton man killed when Jeep crashes into motorcycle

MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Frankton, Indiana man was killed in a crash Monday evening in Muncie. 

Officers with the Indiana State Police were called to State Road 332 and 500 W. on reports of a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and SUV.

Police believe a Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Michael Weaver, 48, was eastbound on SR 332 when a westbound Jeep Renegade attempted to turn left onto CR 500 W. The jeep turned into the path of Weaver's motorcycle.

Weaver was ejected from the seat. He wasn't wearing a helmet.

He was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he died. 

The driver of the Jeep wasn't injured.
