Muncie animal shelter needs donations to send to Texas to help displaced animals

MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie animal shelter is collecting donations to send to Texas to help animals displaced from Hurricane Harvey. 

Muncie Animal Care & Services is sending all donations to Austin Pets Alive at the end of the week. 

The shelter is asking for the following items: 

  • Wet and dry food for cats and dogs
  • Cat litter
  • Litter pans/boxes
  • Food and water bowls
  • Paper towels
  • Bleach
  • Other cleaning supplies

Austin Pets Alive is also looking for volunteers, if anybody is heading down to Texas. If you are interested in helping volunteer in Texas, call the shelter at 765-747-4851.
