DELPHI, Ind. -- People in Indiana and across the United States are replacing their porch lights with orange light bulbs to “Light up Delphi.”

The effort is in support of the families of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13. The two girls went missing while hiking near the Monon High Bridge on February 13. Their bodies were found the next day.

The goal is to shine orange lights in support until their murders are solved.

It's not just people living in Delphi who are taking part, people as far as New York and Washington have shared their orange lights on the Facebook group "Light up in Orange for Abby and Libby."

Lowes Lafayette donated 1,000 light bulbs to the cause. The Delphi Lions Club is offering them to the public for a free will donation. All proceeds will be given the girls’ families.

The twin packs of orange light bulbs will be at the following locations in Delphi:

  • T&T Pizza King
  • Q-Graphics
  • Mitchells Mexican Grill
  • Delphi Body Works

Indiana State Police released a picture of a suspect, which was taken by Liberty on her cell phone. She also captured a man's voice saying "down the hill" during what police call "criminal activity." You can listen to that recording and see the photo below.

Indiana State Police ask anyone who recognizes the man or the voice, or who may have any other information, to call the Tip Line at (844) 459-5786 or 1-800-225-5324 (800-Call FBI). Tips can also be emailed to Abbyandlibbytip@cacoshrf.com. Information can be reported anonymously.
