INDIANAPOLIS -- A donation fund has been established to honor IMPD Officer Breann Leath who died Thursday while responding to a domestic disturbance.
According to the police department, at the request of Leath's family, the Central Indiana Police Foundation has established a fund in her honor.
The Central Indiana Police Foundation has been designated by IMPD as the official fundraiser to accept donations on behalf of Officer Leath’s family, to assist with funeral and burial arrangements and to provide a trust for her young son.
Tax deductible donations can be made by visiting the Central Indiana Police Foundation's website: https://cipf.foundation/officer-leath-fund/ [cipf.foundation].
The department is asking residents to be careful where they donate money to honor Leath's legacy and support her family.
According to IMPD, the department is aware of funds that have been established without the consent of Leath's family.
