INDIANAPOLIS — There's a hope more businesses will move into spaces left vacant by Angie's List on the east side of Indianapolis.

Since the beginning of the fall semester, parts of Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning has been housed in one of the main buildings left vacant more than two years ago.

People like Eric Gins are hopeful more businesses will move into the area, turning the vacant buildings into thriving businesses.

"It's kind of dead zone, even when Angie's List was here, it was a dead zone because if you didn't work there, you couldn't go inside," Gins said.

Jeremy Starks, a manager at Indiana City Brewing Company says having businesses move into the area could only mean good things for them.

"With these buildings getting occupied again, looking for more foot traffic, people coming here after work," Starks said.

He says they plan to add some things, like faster wifi, to entice people to come inside.
