INDIANAPOLIS—Efforts to find the person responsible for the murder of an Indianapolis man have not led to an arrest.

88-year-old Carl Petroff was shot to death inside his home on South Union Street on the city's south side in early-July. The location is near East Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive, a few blocks from Manual High School.

According to Genae Cook, a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, detectives working the case "are still following up on some leads."

If you have any information that could help in the investigation, contact IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.

At the time of his murder, neighbor Steve McGreevy, who has lived in the neighborhood for seven-years, said nothing like Petroff's killing had happened there during his time. "A very nice man, always sat in his backyard, always waved to people as they went by," said McGreevy about Petroff. He described Petroff as well respected in the community.

According to his obituary, Petroff graduated from Manuel High School and was in the Army during the Korean War. He owned the Shar-Mar Social Club for many years.
