UNION COUNTY — After two young boys were injured, the Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled thousands of fireworks sold at an Indiana fireworks retailer just a week before the Fourth of July holiday.

The CPSC says the fireworks sold at Grandma's Fireworks in West College Corner, Indiana between January 2009 and April 2019, may be "overloaded with pyrotechnics intended to produce an audible effect" and they violate federal standards.

Overloaded fireworks can cause a greater than expected explosion which poses explosion and burn hazards to consumers, according to the CPSC.
