INDIANAPOLIS -- The Marion County Public Health Department is offering flu shots across Indianapolis throughout October.
The flu shots cost $20 for anybody over the age of 2. Shots are free for children under 2 years old.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends a flu vaccine for anybody 6 months old or older. According to the CDC, people with the flu often have the following symptoms:
- Fever or feeling feverish/chills
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Muscle or body aches
- Headaches
- Fatigue
You can also get a flu shot from a Walgreensor CVS pharmacy. Many insurance companies will cover the cost of a flu shot.
Pneumonia vaccines are also available for $75 or $155, depending on the type of vaccine. A tetanus vaccination is $25 or $45. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted.
