Indiana State Police and emergency responders were called just before 7:30 p.m. Friday to the 262-mile marker on I-69 on the report of a single-vehicle crash.

Police said Aaron Bates, 59, of Indianapolis, died at the scene after he reportedly went into the left lane, overcorrected and crashed into an embankment and trees.
