CARMEL, Ind. -- The Human Resources Director for Carmel Clay Schools has resigned after being on paid leave for the past three months.

Corrine Middleton was placed on paid administrative leave in October the same week former Superintendent Nicholas Wahl was also placed on administrative leave.

The school board said the reason Middleton was placed on leave at the time was so they could "review the leadership of the district."
