CARMEL, Ind. -- Carmel Clay Schools' new superintendent doesn't have to travel far from his current job.
At a press conference Friday, the Carmel Clay School Board of Trustees will announce Dr. Michael Beresford would be the new superintendent.
Beresford has been with Hamilton Southeastern Schools for 25 years, serving as a high school English and journalism teacher, then serving as school counselor, director of school counseling, assistant principal, principal, and most recently, assistant superintendent of staff and student services.
He's had the last title since 2014, according to his LinkedIn page.
Hamilton Southeastern Schools, like Carmel Clay Schools, is one of the largest districts in Indiana.
