FISHERS, Ind. - The cost for a culinary development in Fishers has more than doubled, in part, because of a planned luxury apartment complex.

Thompson Thrift Retail Group confirms in addition to about 20 restaurants and shops already planned, The Yard at Fishers District will also boast a 252-unit apartment building. This would bring the estimated cost of The Yard to $110 million, when it was originally slated to be around $40 million.

The apartment complex will also have 120,000 square feet of retail space and a three-story parking garage.

Thompson Thrift has also announced that the dual-branded hotel, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, is planned for The Yard. It would be a six-story hotel with 211 rooms.

The Yard will be located between 116th Street and IKEA Way.

Groundbreaking for the development is set for Thursday, June 7, at 3 p.m.
