HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Some phone lines may not reach 911 services, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday afternoon.

At about 10:30 a.m., the Hamilton County Public Safety Communications Department was notified that some Frontier Telephone customers can't reach 911 if dialed from a landline.

The outage only affects Frontier customers using landlines in parts of Carmel, parts of Noblesville, Eagletown and Jolietville, Indiana.  Any Frontier customer who has to call 911 should instead call 317-773-1282 to report the situation.

The outage doesn't affect anybody using a cell phone to call 911.

There is no known time to fix the problem. We will update this story when the problem is fixed.
