GREENFIELD, Ind. — Police in Greenfield, Indiana are searching for two suspects accused of starting a vehicle fire and crashing an SUV into a house Monday night.

The incident happened at about 10 p.m. Officers with the Greenfield Police Department were called to the 1100 block of W. 7th Street in Greenfield for a crash into a house. While on their way to the crash, they learned two people were seen running from the crash.

While investigating the crash, police learned of a vehicle fire about a block away.

Investigators later learned the vehicle that crashed into the house was seen speeding from the vehicle fire beforehand. Police believe the vehicle fire was intentionally set.

The vehicle that was on fire, a 2005 Chevy Equinox, suffered about $1,000 in damage. The damage to the house from the crash was estimated at $50,000. Another vehicle found at the residence, a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, had its tires slashed for an estimated $600 in damage.
