GREENFIELD, Ind. -- The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who ran from the courthouse in Greenfield Tuesday afternoon while police were attempting to serve a warrant on him.

The man, who Hancock County dispatchers have identified as Tyrus Drane, is described as being 5 foot 8 inches tall, 160 pounds and was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt at the time he fled.

Greenfield police say Drane was not in police custody at the time but had shown up at the courthouse for a hearing when officers realized they had another warrant out for his arrest.

Police say the warrant was for failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Indiana State Police, Hancock County Sheriff's deputies and Greenfield Police are all assisting with the search.

If you see anyone matching that description call 911 or the Hancock County Sheriff immediately.
