Kokomo resident shoots at attempted robbery suspect who entered his vehicle

KOKOMO — A Kokomo resident pulled out his gun and fired at an unknown male who entered his vehicle on the morning of Sunday, February 3, according to the Kokomo Police Department.

At approximately 5:02 a.m., 32-year-old Andrew Boles witnessed a male wearing a gray jacket, bandanna and a head covering enter his vehicle.

Boles then armed himself and announced to the suspect that he was armed.

The suspect was armed as well, and pointed a handgun at Boles. Boles then fired several shots at the suspect.

The suspect fled without firing back, according to Kokomo Police. Boles' neighbors house was struck by the gunfire, it is unknown if the suspect was struck.

Police say the suspect was driving a dark colored, late 90’s or early 2000’s SUV.

This case remain active for investigation.
