KOKOMO — A 12-year-old boy was shot and wounded Tuesday evening at a Kokomo apartment complex.
Kokomo Police Department Major Brian Seldon said in a news release that officers responded to the shooting Terrace Meadows Apartments in the 600 block of Marsha Court at approximately 6:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police found a 12-year-old boy suffering from two gunshot wounds. He was transported to Community Howard Hospital and then flown to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, according to Seldon.
Witnesses told police the driver of a white vehicle began shooting at a group of people when he drove through the parking lot.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on charges of attempted murder. He was transported to the Kinsey Youth Center.
