FISHERS — The lounge that directly extends above the world-famous restaurant St. Elmo Steak House has expanded to The Yard in Fishers.

The 1933 Lounge in Fishers — owned by Huse Culinary — opens to the public on Wednesday.

The original 1933 Lounge opened in 2011 and serves as a cocktail lounge and restaurant that pays tributes to Prohibition and St. Elmo.

The lounge's space in The Yard will take up about 5,000 square feet and will serve both lunch and dinner to guests 21-year-old and older.

Patrons will be able to choose from a variety of dining options, which includes steaks, sliders, and the historic St. Elmo shrimp cocktail.

"Fishers continues to grow progressively, with residents and leadership, welcoming investment and jobs," Craig Huse, co-proprietor of Huse Culinary, said. "We are thrilled to bring a new location to an area supported with plentiful households, businesses, and attractions. Our team is focused on intentional growth that creates career path opportunities for our people and more dining choices for our loyal customers. We grow to get better, not simply to get bigger."

Huse Culinary is the parent company of local favorites such as Harry & Izzy's, Burger Study, and, as mentioned, St. Elmo Steak House.

Almost all of the leadership roles within the new 1933 Lounge will be filled with employees who received promotions within the company.
