Indiana Latino Expo celebration at state fairgrounds

INDIANAPOLIS — It's a big weekend to explore and enjoy Latino cultures!

Hispanic Heritage Month in Central Indiana wraps up with the Indiana Latino Expo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on October 11 and 12.

The expo's executive director, Gloria Jimenez joined RTV6 in the studio to talk about everything visitors can expect.

The free event has many opportunities for the thousands of attendees on Friday and Saturday, including over 200 exhibitors.

Friday

  • Education Fair 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Naturalization Ceremony 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Job Fair 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday All events take place from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Consular Services from Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru and Ecuador
  • Job, Education and Health Fair
  • Soccer Tournament
  • Entertainment Programs
  • Resources from Business, Government and Non-Profits
  • Food Vendors

“We are thrilled to welcome over 10,000 attendees at the Indiana Latino Expo. The Latino Expo is the largest Latino community event that offers so many important free resources to the community such as consular services, health screenings, an education fair, and a job fair," Jimenez said.

"The Indiana Latino Expo is the only organization that brings the consulates from different Latin American countries to Indianapolis for the community to access consular services. We are also excited to highlight a number of services and products available through businesses, government, and non-profit organizations."

Parking will be available at the fairgrounds for $5 per car.
