INDIANAPOLIS — Mayor Joe Hogsett announced Sunday morning there are no current plans for additional curfews in Marion County.

Curfews had been in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights.

"Thank you to the record-breaking number of individuals who lifted their voices in peaceful advocacy this weekend and to the law enforcement who helped to keep large crowds safe on busy streets," Hogsett wrote on Twitter.

Thousands gathered for protests Saturday afternoon that began with a massive sit-in at the Indiana Statehouse and eventually moved into the streets as people marched through downtown.

On Sunday morning, protesters with Indy10 Black Lives Matters gathered at 5:30 a.m. at East 38th and North Meridian Streets and drove north to a neighborhood at East 82nd and North Pennsylvania Streets.

Sunday marked the 10th consecutive day protests have taken place in Indianapolis.
