SANDUSKY, Ohio – Coaster lovers who can never choose between wooden or modern steel rides will enjoy the new and first-of-its-kind “hyper-hybrid” attraction at Cedar Point.
Steel Vengeance, the tallest, fastest and longest hybrid roller coaster in the world, will open in the spring of 2018 and run on a massive wooden structure that provides a smooth steel track.
The new coaster will lift you 205 feet into the fair, travel at a speed of 74 mph and you’ll experience one of the steepest drops at 90 degrees.
Other amusement parks like Holiday World are also making history.
Thunderbird is the nation’s first launched wing coaster and it travels from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
