LAWRENCE, Ind. -- A dispute over a tax return is likely what led to a fatal shooting at a tax prep business, according to police.

Police say Antonio Bertram, 25, walked into the business near 42nd Street and Franklin Road with two firearms and shouted "What's up?" to the tax prep employee inside. The employee was also armed with a handgun and fired two shots at Bertram, striking him once in the chest.

Bertram left the office and fired shots outside before getting into his vehicle, according to police. He was found unconscious a short time later.

Police say they do not believe Bertram was planning to rob the business but that he was angry over some type of tax return dispute. The circumstances surrounding that dispute have not been released.

The employee has not been charged in the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Lawrence Police Department.
