INDIANAPOLIS -- A downtown Indianapolis apartment complex says it's working with an adjacent parking garage to improve safety after RTV6 took tenant complaints to the complex.

Mary Teerlinck says she and several other tenants have made reports to the Artistry Apartments about security concerns including men getting into nearby garages and exposing themselves - but their complaints were going unanswered.

One incident happened just last week in the Denison Parking Garage on Market and New Jersey streets.

A year ago, a woman was sexually assaulted in that same garage.

"It's always good that they're making improvements to the security it's just disappointing that it takes rtv6 news stepping in for someone to pay attention," Teerlinck said.

After RTV6 got involved, the Artistry contacted Denison and says they are working on improving security in the area.
