INDIANAPOLIS -- A man is thankful for some alert fellow drivers on I-70 who let him know that his van was on fire Tuesday morning.

The car fire happened at around 6 a.m., near the Meridian Street exit.

The man said he was on I-70 when other drivers started honking at him. He started looking around, and saw smoke in the back seat. Once he got the minivan stopped, he saw the fire around the gas tank, he said.

The man was not hurt.
