INDIANAPOLIS -- Ricker’s convenience stores will be getting a new owner by the end of the year.

Giant Eagle, which owns and operates GetGo Markets, will acquire the 56 Ricker’s stores around Indiana.

Ricker’s was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Anderson.

Owner Jay Ricker said the new arrangement will help him maintain their position as a leader in the convenience store market.

Ricker’s has more than 750 employees in Indiana.
