INDIANAPOLIS -- A photo showing senior citizens in need of help during Hurricane Harvey pushed people at an Indianapolis nursing home to act.

Those living in Forest Creek Village Senior Center saw the photo of the elderly sitting in a room flooded with water and decided to host a fundraising luncheon.

“They needed help right now and they had to wait so long and it just broke my heart,” said Shirley Weaver who lives at the center.

Money raised at the luncheon benefited nursing homes in Texas.
