Indiana Attorney General to investigate Equifax data breach

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana's attorney general is launching an investigation into the Equifax data breach.

Curtis Hill sent a letter Friday to Equifax attorneys to inform them of the investigation.

"It is imperative that Equifax cooperate fully with all State and Federal authorities to provide verifiable information that will lead to the identification, apprehension, conviction and disruption of the criminals, terrorists, individuals and/or organizations responsible for this attack," said Hill.

Hill went on to say that his office expects the full cooperation of Equifax.

Equifax announced earlier this month that its data systems were compromised in a cyberattack that the company discovered back in July.
