INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana has plenty of good things to brag about, but being healthy isn’t one of them.

A study by WalletHub finds Indiana is the 10th fattest state in America for 2017 based on 19 key metrics like the number of overweight people and the amount of sugary-beverage consumption among adolescents.

Of the 50 states, Indiana ranked 15th in the “Obesity and Overweight prevalence” category. When it came to obesity, Indiana ranked 14th – with a rank of 1 being the worst.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than seven in 10 U.S. adults aged 20 and older are either overweight or obese.
