INDIANAPOLIS — A caregiver with Community Health Network has turned her journey of heartache and healing into a book to help others get through some of the hardest times in their lives.

Ashley Pittman is an administrative assistant in the revenue cycle department at Community Health and is also the author of "I Can Breathe Again."

Pittman wrote about the loss of her twin daughter and son, Aree'a Lani and William Thomas Pittman Junior, to preterm-labor complications at seven months in her pregnancy. Pittman wrote about the grief she experienced and her struggle overcoming depression.

Pittman is now trying to help others who are dealing with a similar situation in their lives.

"I wanted to be able to give someone hope and inspiration, that healing is possible after a tragic loss," Pittman said. "It's important to share our story, its important to receive support that we need to make it through."

Pittman plans to donate 50 percent of the proceeds from her book to the Community Health Network NICU fund in memory and honor of her twins.
