Indy northeast side shooting leaves one person dead, one person wounded

INDIANAPOLIS – Two people were shot, one fatally, on Indianapolis’ northeast side Wednesday night.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, two people were shot just before midnight Wednesday in the 4100 block of Shady Oaks Drive. 

A 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old was shot in the legs and hospitalized in serious condition.

The victim's identity has not been released.
