INDIANAPOLIS -- After losing her husband and three young children when a duck boat sank, Tia Coleman said her home is just a house now.
"This is my new normal," Coleman said. "I'm trying to get used to it."
Coleman also announced a petition, calling on Congress, the Coast Guard, and other officials to take action against duck boats.
Coleman and 10 members of her family were on vacation in Missouri last month when a storm capsized their sightseeing duck boat tour. Coleman and her 13-year-old nephew, Donovan, were the only members of their family to survive. In all, 17 people died as a result of the sinking.
"No family, not even my worst enemy, should have to experience what I've experienced," Coleman said.
Coleman gave an update Tuesday on her life after the tragedy that killed her husband and three young children.
