INDIANAPOLIS -- More than 1,000 cats and dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages will be available at reduced adoption fees during the fourth annual Indy Mega-Adoption Event this weekend.

The event, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, will feature animals from over two dozen different animal shelter and rescue organizations in central Indiana.

The adoptable animals will be fixed, vaccinated and micro-chipped and available at a reduced adoption fee of just $30. That's less than half of what animal shelters generally charge for adoption!

Adoptable pets are available to go to their new homes the day of the event.
