INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are questioning two juveniles in connection with a string of vandalism on Indianapolis’ east side after multiple vehicles were damaged early Monday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say they found broken glass lining the street in the 300 block of Gladstone Avenue after several people living nearby woke to find their car windshields shot through or their windows completely shattered.

Jasmine Lopez said she didn’t hear anything overnight, but when she came outside Monday morning, she saw police and several neighbors checking their vehicles.

“Then we saw our windows broken,” said Lopez. “Whoever did this is not cool. Some people don’t have money to work to pay this.”

Lopez said she cleaned up what she could of her SUV and she plans to get a new window installed soon.

Police say two juveniles they arrested on drug charges are being questioned in connection with the vandalism after two BB guns were found in the back of their vehicle.

So far, no charges have been filed in connection with the vandalism.
