INDIANAPOLIS — One person was pronounced dead by officials at a north side shooting on Monday evening, according to Officer Aaron Hamer.
Just after 7:30 p.m. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department North District Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of North Illinois Street on a person shot. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, another was injured and transferred to a nearby hospital.
