INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are searching for a person who ran from a fatal crash Thursday morning on Indianapolis' east side.
The crash happened just after midnight, in the 6500 block of E. 10th Street.
Responding officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department determined the crash involved a white SUV and a maroon car. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the SUV was traveling westbound on 10th Street and crashed into the car, which was going southbound on Ridgeview Drive.
After the crash, the driver of the SUV ran away without providing help to the other driver. The driver of the car has not been identified.
There has been no description of the suspect.
