FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- Volunteers from across the southeast side of Marion County are coming together to help feed those in need this holiday season. Dozens gathered Friday night at LifePoint Church in Franklin Township to prepare for the Servant's Heart annual Turkey Drive-Thru.

This year Servant's Heart plans to give boxes filled with food for a Thanksgiving meal to 520 families on Monday, November 20.

The distribution will be at its location in Beech Grove. Bill Boone with Servant's Heart says the need is so great this year that there are dozens of families on a waiting list.

The organization is hoping to receive donations to help feed more people in Beech Grove along with Franklin Township, Perry Township, and Center Township this Thanksgiving.

Servant's Heart runs a food pantry out of its location in Beech Grove that feeds thousands of people each year. If you would like to donate or volunteer you can go to the organization's website for more information.
