INDIANAPOLIS -- Two Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were arrested Monday on suspicion of operating while under the influence after one of them was involved in a crash while they were riding motorcycles in Fountain Square.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the intersection of Virginia Avenue at Prospect Street just after 11 p.m. for a vehicle versus a motorcycle crash.

Police reports state that Dustin Keedy and Timothy Elliott were riding in the area when Keedy was involved in a crash that was not his fault. He and Elliott both tested above the legal limit for alcohol at the scene and were placed under arrest.

Keedy and Eliott are both officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Both started as patrol officers in early 2012.

RTV6 has reached out to IMPD for a statement regarding the arrests and has not yet received a response.
