INDIANAPOLIS -- IndyCar James Hinchcliffe greeted racing and coffee fans at the drive-thru of Indianapolis' new Tim Hortons on Monday.

The Canadian-based coffee chain is opening its newest location on Rockville Road this week, and it held a special preview for fans on Monday to raise money for local charities.

Hinchcliffe, a Canadian-born IndyCar driver was the VIP at Monday's event, working the drive-thru and helping to promote one of his favorite chains from his "homeland."

"It might be kinda better than Christmas," Hinchcliffe told RTV6's Dave Furst. "I moved to Indiana about 10 years ago now and everybody asked "what was the hardest part about leaving home? was it family, friends?" No, it was things like Tim Hortons."
