Indy Zoo's Easter weekend celebration spotlights baby animals, beautiful Spring blooms

INDIANAPOLIS — If you're looking for something fun to do with the kids over Easter weekend you can hop over to the Indianapolis Zoo and check out some of the spring fun.

The zoo's Easter events will highlight the newest baby animals and the beautiful spring blooms. The zoo will also have several family-friendly activities available for you and the kids.

The festive event and special activities will be on April 20-21 and will include an Easter egg hunt with a "wild twist" - no basket required!

Some of the zoo's newest arrivals include:

  • Makena: New baby giraffe
  • Cyndee and Chi: Baby macaques
  • Mila and Max: Young orangutans

After aww'ing over the babies, you can make your way over to the White River Gardens and soak up some of the beautiful colors and smells.

All weekend activities are free for Zoo members and included with a regular admission ticket. You can save money by purchasing advanced tickets online at the Indianapolis Zoo website.
