On Indianapolis This Week, guests discussed the legislative session, the presidential race, and former Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann sat down with Rafael Sanchez for an exclusive interview.

Ellspermann resigned earlier this month. She has applied for the job of President at Ivy Tech, saying it was a "better seat on the bus for serving Hoosiers."

"This is a great state and it's a great privilege to serve in that role, but I'm also one that believes you should be on really that best seat on the bus, how can you make the greatest difference? And so, this next opportunity really pulled me," she said.

Former Indiana Republican chairman Eric Holcomb replaced Ellspermann.

Plus, Rep. Susan Brooks discussed her efforts in fighting the heroin epidemic, Benghazi, and the presidential race.

The last time she was on Indianapolis This Week, she was preparing to travel to Iowa to support New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in the Iowa caucuses. Will she endorse Donald Trump now that Christie has?

"At this point I think things are so fluid, I'm kind of waiting, like so many voters are waiting. I'm waiting to kind of see, continue to watch the debates, continue to see how the candidates are doing, I think it's still a bit unpredictable even at this point. We still have four people on the Republican side and even the Democrat side is unpredictable at this point," she said.

In addition, Katie Heinz has reaction from the Statehouse on the end of the legislative session. In one of their last acts in the session, legislators sent a $1 billion funding plan for state and local roads to Gov. Mike Pence's desk.

The General Assembly also approved bills to eliminate ISTEP and expand school vouchers. Bills for the release of police body camera video and curbing the reduction of meth are also headed to the governor's desk.
