Downtown Franklin businesses asking you to spread some love this February

FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Downtown Franklin Business District is asking the community to spread some love during the month of love in February. Together, small businesses in Franklin are encouraging people to show their love for Franklin by shopping locally -- and they are offering some perks to those who take part in this campaign.
Live Local Franklin is an initiative to support local business owners. At least 44 downtown businesses are taking part in this month-long initiative to stir up local support and business.
When patrons spend some money anytime during the month of February at participating businesses, they receive a passport. Shoppers can have local businesses sign off on their passport and from there they can be eligible to win a number of prizes.
The Downtown Franklin Business District says they have prizes totally more than 1,000 dollars for this campaign to drum up support of shopping local.
The drawing for the prizes will take place on March 5th -- and from there, they will work to notify winners via Facebook, email or phone number.
