JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- Inspired by the Wounded Warrior project, a Johnson County teenager decorated hundreds of graves with American flag to honor fallen veterans.

Landon Blackwell placed flags on the graves of veterans at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, and Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

Now he plans to go to Forest Lawn, where his grandfather is buried. Blackwell's grandfather is a Vietnam War veteran.

"I love doing this -- knowing that I'm helping a noble cause it makes me feel good inside," Blackwell said.

Blackwell started the effort using his own money, but is now accepting donations.

"There's so much negative in the world today and we see so many malicious things and so much negativity in the way people feel, so it's so refreshing for him to do this not only for the respect for the military, but just to bring some good news to everyone," Lisa Blackwell, Landon's mother, said.
