The crash happened just before 7 a.m., in the 6000 block of West State Road 44, near Trafalgar.
An SUV and a pickup truck were involved, with one man inside each vehicle.
The man in the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither the vehicle information nor the victim's identity has been released, as police notify the man's family.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized.
