Victim identified in fatal Johnson County crash

JOHNSON COUNTY — One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Johnson County late Saturday.

According to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened in the 5600 block of South Nineveh Road shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The crash involved a car and a pickup truck that were traveling in opposite directions on Nineveh Road, deputies said.

According to the sheriff's office, the driver of the car, Thomas D. Miller, 35, of Trafalgar, was killed in the crash. The driver of the pickup, Justin A. Mcilquham, 36, of Greenwood, was taken by medical helicopter to Methodist Hospital.

Investigators said Mcilquham was traveling south on Nineveh Road when his vehicle cross left of center and collided head-on with Miller's vehicle.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
