KOKOMO—A Kokomo man charged with murder has been released from jail and charges have been dropped.
21-year-old Marcus Stone was supposed to go on trial this Friday, but the case has been dismissed, according to Howard County court records. The reason why was not immediately available.
Stone was charged in the December 2018 murder of 50-year-old Keith Jewell, a Kokomo man who was found shot to death on the city's northwest side.
The suspect was arrested earlier this year and was held at the Howard County Jail until his release.
